The announced release date for Metro Exodus is February 22, 2019, and the title will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. There is a lot of anticipation for the title so far due to the high-quality gameplay footage that has been released. The producers promise that, unlike the previous versions, this one will spend more time on the surface rather than in subway tunnels and underground areas as before, with non-linear areas to explore.
For those unfamiliar with the Metro franchise, it is a survival FPS (first-person shooter) in which we face humans and monstrous beings that have mutated due to the large amount of radiation present on the surface, with few resources available. The game was inspired by the best-selling fiction book written by Dmitry Glukhovsky, called Metro 2035.
It is important to note that there are different types of bonuses for those who preorder on the different platforms. On PS4 there will be an exclusive theme; those who buy it for Xbox One will receive a free code for Metro 2033 Redux; and those who choose PC will receive a digital book and the Metro Exodus soundtrack.
