Publisher CFX recently announced that Wonder Boy Returns Remix will arrive on Switch through the Nintendo eShop on May 23, 2019, for $14.99 (approximately 60 reais). According to the announcement, the title will offer text options in English and Japanese.

For those unfamiliar with it, Wonder Boy Returns Remix is a remake of the first game in the Wonder Boy franchise, an action side-scrolling title that, although it originated in arcades, became very well known among Brazilians through its version for our beloved Master System. With unmistakable music for those who played it and accessible gameplay, many owners of SEGA's third-generation console had the pleasure of spending hours with the game. It is worth saying that a review of the original version will eventually be published here at Epic Play.

As for this remake version, it had previously been released for PC in October 2016 and PlayStation 4 in March 2017. The Switch version will come with a curious addition, the "Charge Shot," a type of super axe capable of "passing through" several enemies at once, as we can see in the trailer.
