It is now confirmed. Microsoft recently came forward to announce that the excellent Game Pass service, available on Xbox One, will soon be coming to PC. The exact availability date has not yet been announced, but indications are that more details will be revealed during its E3 2019 presentation, scheduled for 5 p.m. on June 9, 2019.
Those who follow Epic Play may remember that this had already been reported here, since strong rumors had been circulating since October 2018.
The confirmation came through a post by Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division, which says:
"We looked at whether there was a similar opportunity [to the Game Pass] for PC players and developers on that platform, and we believe there is. We also considered the importance of bringing something new that would add to the PC gaming ecosystem, and we believe we can do that. So we are developing a service specifically for the needs of PC players and developers on that platform. It will be called Xbox Game Pass, like the original service, but it will be a different experience that we are building together with the PC community."
For those who are not familiar with it, Game Pass gives subscribers access to more than 100 titles for R$29.00 per month or, if preferred, R$199.00 per year. It is worth noting that fans know promotions happen frequently, so many people are currently enjoying three months for only one real. PC owners can celebrate; they will soon have access to games such as Shadow of The Tomb Raider and Gears of War 4 at a very low price.
