■ Story — Additional Scenario: “The Truth of Goro Majima”

February 2006—.

Two months since the “10 Billion Yen Incident.”

Yukio Terada, who was appointed by Kazuma Kiryu, the Fourth Chairman of the Tojo Clan, and became its Fifth Chairman, promoted a policy to recruit new blood called the “Tojo Clan Reform” in order to rebuild the clan financially after the collapse of its foundations in the previous incident.

Terada imposed measures on the senior leadership, which feared a decline in its authority, and pushed ahead under heavy restrictions. As a result, Majima Family patriarch Goro Majima, who generated large profits from buying and selling real estate, and Uematsu Family patriarch Akinobu Uematsu, a growing influence, competed for the position of waka gashira. Meanwhile, the Majima Family offices were attacked by men who appeared to belong to the Uematsu Family.

Alone, Majima enters the Uematsu Family office. But inside was a scene that even he could not have imagined—.

■ Battle

Pocket Weapons

In this game, you can use your favorite weapons at any time by storing them in your pocket. Take advantage of this system when facing formidable enemies and large groups, using the weapon best suited to the situation.

Charge Attack

The “Charge Attack” is a powerful, unmatched attack that knocks an enemy down with a single blow. You can unleash it by holding down a button and “charging.” Analyze the situation, including the number and variety of enemies, and use it while “standing still,” “running” and even “from Charge Attack to Charge Attack.”

Komaki Training

Sotaro Komaki, the legendary martial artist who appeared in the previous game (Yakuza Kiwami), will appear again in this game.

By “training” with Komaki, you can master the Komaki school of ancient martial arts. By mastering these “soft” techniques, which differ from Kazuma Kiryu's fighter techniques, and the Komaki school of ancient martial arts, you can significantly broaden your range in combat.

There are also Komaki-style Heat Actions. The “Komaki Style Fist Reversal” is a strong Heat Action used against an opponent's attack. This omnidirectional move counters the enemy regardless of the direction from which they strike. It reads the movement of the enemy's force and sends them spinning with a powerful, unmatched blow. You can master this technique by training with Komaki.

Friendship Heat Actions

People who have become “familiar” with Kiryu can cooperate with him in battles against enemies. Dedicated moves called “Friendship Heat Actions” serve this purpose. For example, the elderly man who runs the ramen shop or the woman who runs the snack bar will use the tools of their respective trades to support Kiryu in battle. Every Heat Action is unique and not to be missed.

Example 1: By regularly visiting the “Kyushu Ichiban Boshi” ramen shop and befriending its manager, you can unleash a “Friendship” Heat Action that injures enemies with a bowl of hot ramen.

Example 2: By befriending the woman who runs the “Atenshi” snack bar, you can unleash a “Friendship” Heat Action that injures the enemy with... whatever tool happens to exist in her trade (?).

Besides these two stores, you can become a “familiar face” at several establishments in Kamurocho and Sotenbori.

New Heat Actions

Heat Actions that can be unleashed in all kinds of scenes are alive and well in this game. In addition to updated Heat Actions from Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, a variety of extremely flashy techniques have been added. Take advantage of the situation and environment to unleash various Heat Actions. Each is an exciting, exceptional attack.

Goro Majima's Constantly Changing Battle Style — Additional Scenario: “The Truth of Goro Majima”

Goro Majima uses his speed to fight with a constantly changing attack style. While retaining the sense of joy offered by earlier playable incarnations of Goro Majima, this game uses the Dragon Engine to incorporate a system in which enemy reactions change based on Majima's body movement and the direction and angle of his attack, adapted to give combat a more intuitive feel than in previous games.
