The Objective: Become Japan's No. 1 Cabaret Club
The enormously popular “Cabaret Club” that first appeared in Yakuza 0 finally returns in Yakuza Kiwami 2. While retaining the original's entertainment, the “New Cabaret Club” adds many elements and features, is even easier to play and contains even more enjoyable content. Many characters who appeared in Yakuza 0, including heroine Yuki, will return. The scenario is the “Cabaret Club Grand Prix,” a competition to decide the country's No. 1 cabaret club, where you can enjoy large-scale “Cabaret Club Business Battles.”
Story
After a certain problem, Kiryu meets Yuki, owner of Sotenbori cabaret club “Four Shine.” Four Shine, however, is losing many employees because its business is being obstructed and the enormous cabaret-club company known as the Kanzaki Group is conducting an overwhelming recruitment drive, forcing it into a position where it can no longer operate.
To escape this dilemma, and as her final gamble, Yuki decides to enter the “Cabaret Club Grand Prix,” a competition to decide the country's best cabaret club. Winning would bring tremendous publicity, but losing could damage its reputation and cause her to lose the club.
Yuki's enthusiasm for challenging the competition with such conviction moves Kiryu, and he decides to help with the business. Will Kiryu be able to win this competition against the Kanzaki Group and the country's other veteran cabaret clubs and save Four Shine?
Basic Rules
This is a simulation game in which, as the club's manager, you assign hostesses based on the customers who visit the cabaret club one after another. If you assign a hostess suited to a customer's tastes, they will spend a great deal of money. The abilities of the dozens of hostesses vary tremendously. As they grow, their abilities will improve and they will be able to satisfy even more customers. Understand everyone's preferences as you develop your hostesses and increase sales, aiming to become the country's No. 1 cabaret club.
Cabaret Club Grand Prix
The scenario for the New Cabaret Club is the “Cabaret Club Grand Prix,” where veteran clubs from around the country gather and compete to determine the country's No. 1 club. The rival cabaret clubs come not only from Sotenbori, but from across the nation.
The Cabaret Club Grand Prix consists of four leagues: the “Fresh League,” “Paradise League,” “Executive League” and “Millionaire League.” The story will develop as you win each league and defeat its champion. You will then be able to challenge the country's No. 1 club, the Kanzaki Group's famous “Sotenbori Sunshine.”

—Kirara (voiced by Kirara Asuka) — Final Championship
The top hostess at “Sotenbori Sunshine” and current champion of the Cabaret Club Grand Prix. She is known as a “legendary hostess.” She considers Four Shine owner Yuki a rival.
—Aika (voiced by Aika) — Paradise League
Nicknamed the “Festival Queen,” she is the queen of the entertainment world. She can make any customer feel cheerful and excited.
—Shouko (voiced by Shouko Takahashi) — Executive League
A hostess who earned the name “Perfect Queen” for her ability to serve customers flawlessly. She is extremely professional and highly regarded among cabaret experts.
—Kana (voiced by Kana Momonogi) — Fresh League
A newcomer to the Kanzaki Group. Through her serious, hardworking customer service, she is driving the success of the new club, “Hiroshima Sweet God.”
—Yua (voiced by Yua Mikami) — Millionaire League
A former idol and new hostess. Because of her enormous popularity, she is known as the “National Hostess.”
◆ New Clan Creator
Evolved Large-Scale Battles
The “Clan Creator” that first appeared in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, in which players could enjoy dynamic tactical battles pitting one large group against another, has been significantly improved in Yakuza Kiwami 2. Set at Goro Majima's “Majima Construction,” it will feature enormous battles mixing hundreds of enemies and allies together.
The “New Clan Creator” has completely new rules compared with the previous Clan Creator. It has evolved into a “defense-type” real-time strategy game in which you protect Majima Construction from outside enemies. It offers deeper entertainment than the previous Clan Creator.
In addition, the five legendary wrestlers Keiji Mutoh, Masahiro Chono, Riki Choshu, Genichiro Tenryu and Tatsumi Fujinami will appear as outside enemies attacking Majima Construction.
Story
Goro Majima, who left the Tojo Clan to start the construction company “Majima Construction,” successfully secured a major undertaking known as the “Kamurocho Hills Construction Project.”
However, Keiji Mutoh, president of “Mutoh Realty,” a corrupt real-estate corporation eyeing this lucrative project, joins forces with Masahiro Chono, leader of the Colors, Kamurocho's largest gang, and the legendary land speculators known as the “Three Musketeers of Land”: Riki Choshu, Genichiro Tenryu and Tatsumi Fujinami, to bring down Majima Construction and force it out of business.
The construction schedule was delayed by their repeated obstruction, bringing Majima Construction's Kamurocho Hills Construction Project to a stalemate. Owing Majima a debt of gratitude, Kiryu decides to cooperate with Majima Construction. Will Kiryu be able to destroy Mutoh and his men and protect the Hills Project?
System
For missions, you can select a maximum of nine workers to dispatch. You can strengthen Majima Construction's facilities by spending money. If a mission is too difficult to complete, try strengthening the construction company's facilities.
Battle
New Clan Creator battles are defensive and task players with protecting the facilities until the end of the enemy attacks as they appear one after another. Control a maximum of nine characters and protect the facilities from the enemy army attacking to destroy the location. With a limited number of defense members, these battles involve hundreds of people as you prevent enemy attacks. You win if you defend against the enemy without your facilities being completely destroyed, but lose if they are destroyed in the middle of battle. Workers have secret techniques and abilities that produce various effects during combat, which you can use to make the fight progress more favorably.
Network
Using the network feature, you can play limited missions. This lets you play exclusive missions featuring special enemies and high-difficulty challenge missions. In addition, when you complete a mission you will receive a score that is recorded in the network rankings. In this way, you can compete against players around the world.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 7.
