Finally, since last week, Switch owners have been able to download the YouTube app for free through the Nintendo eShop. It is worth noting that using the app does not require Nintendo's online subscription service.
The app allows users to watch the entire available catalog both with the Switch docked and in handheld mode. It is possible to log in through a Google account and access your preferences list directly. It is important to point out that the app is available to owners with American accounts registered.
This is only the second streaming service to arrive on Nintendo's console; the first was Hulu in November 2017. When asked about the delays in making apps available, the Japanese company said that it was exploring the possibility of bringing other apps to its system and that others, such as Netflix, could still appear in the near future.
