Studio MDHR recently announced that its game Cuphead had surpassed the remarkable mark of four million units sold since its launch in September 2017. These numbers would be surprising for any franchise, but they deserve even more praise because this was a low-budget title from a debut series.

According to the report, the developers at Studio MDHR shared this information during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. On the same occasion, it was said that game fans can already be happy about the animated series based on Cuphead, which will be shown on Netflix, since it will be strongly inspired by the award-winning game.

Despite the high difficulty, players were not intimidated and proved that challenging two-dimensional games still have room in the market.

For those who do not know, when it was released, Cuphead became known, in addition to its high quality, for its above-average difficulty compared with titles in the same style. Even so, countless players took the risk and approved of the experience. Recently, we at Epic Play reported that, unfortunately, the game’s DLC was delayed until 2020.
