Cuphead Will Get a Netflix Series #1

The series, called "The Cuphead Show", will be animated, but it will not have the game's exact art style.  According to Chad Moldenhauer, the game's co-creator, the idea is for every frame to still be drawn by hand, but now with much more assistance from digital tools. If the promotional image released reflects the final product, it has a style similar to Mickey Mouse'scurrent shorts.

Studio MHDR, which was responsible for the game's visuals, will not be directly involved in the animation, which will now be the responsibility of Netflix itself.  The studio will still be involved in producing the animated series, with Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, the game's creators, serving as its executive producers.

Although the story will take place in the game's universe, it will not be the same. The intention is to expand the universe created by the games, while the series maintains its focus on comedy.

The Cuphead Show does not have a release date yet, so it is not known whether it will be released before or after The Delicious Last Course, a Cuphead DLC that will be released in 2020. It is also not known whether the two will have any connection.
