Publisher Playdigious and developer Amplitude Studios (a studio acquired by SEGA in 2016) announced that Dungeon of the Endless, a game combining roguelike and dungeon-defense elements that was released for PC in October 2014, will soon arrive for PlayStation 4 and Switch. Unfortunately, the exact release date for these platforms has not yet been disclosed. Even so, the official announcement is expected soon.

Below is the game's official description from Playdigious:

Several hundred convicted criminals were being sent to the Auriga system on their way to the "Success" prison. Everything they knew about Auriga came from what the probes told them: it had water, temperate zones, plants, and plenty of metal in its crust. In fact, the planet Auriga once hosted an important settlement of the galaxy-traveling precursors known as the Endless, and it was still orbited by a functioning (and well-camouflaged) defense system... Luckily, each set of holding cells also functioned as an escape.

Then the ship came apart, leaving the surviving prisoners injured but (temporarily) alive and (momentarily) safe on the planet below. Safe, that is, until they realized they had fallen through some kind of "Endless" facility into a deep, ancient underground complex that could very well be called a dungeon... Dungeon of the Endless is being carefully optimized for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4; the release date will be announced soon.

Main features:

Gather a team — Form a team of heroes, each with their own strengths (and psychoses). Equip them, deploy them, and learn powerful abilities. Manage the balance between former inmates and guards;

Build your defenses — Use the Dust you collect to power up. Gather scarce resources to help your team survive. Build minor and major modules to hold back waves of monsters. Decode endless ruins to discover life-saving technologies.

Open the door — every door is a danger; prepare your team for anything; Explore and discover countless levels and layouts. Carry your crystal through waves of monsters to the exit of each level. Fight your way to the surface to uncover the truth about Auriga.
