The newest game in the Project DIVA series, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, finally received a release date for North America and Europe: January 10, 2017. Previously, there had been rumors that the game would come West after receiving an age rating in Germany, which essentially confirmed that it would, but now it is official! In addition to confirming the release date on social media, SEGA released a trailer highlighting some of the game's songs and their videos.

As we reported when the Japanese version's trailer launched, the game is a console port of the famous Hatsune Miku arcades in Japan and features an impressive catalog of 220 songs divided into two packs: "Future Sound" and "Colorful Tone." The first contains songs from earlier Project DIVA games released for PSP, PS3, and PS Vita, with 120 songs, while the second contains songs from the arcade version and the Project MIRAI series for 3DS, with 100 songs. Basically, it includes all the songs from the series' games except for the recently released Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X for PS4 and PS Vita.

SEGA also launched an English-language website for the game, which can be found here. Fans received the announcement very well on social media and were very happy to see SEGA answer the many requests it had received in recent months to bring the game West.
