This April, the Nintendo Switch Online service will add three new titles to its library of NES games for subscribers:
- Mr. Dream's Punch-Out!!
- Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels
- Star Soldier
This addition follows the pattern of adding three new games each month, something Nintendo intends to continue doing.
Mr. Dream's Punch-Out!! is a reskin of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! in which Little Mac's final opponent is replaced by Mr. Dream. This happened because the contract with boxer Mike Tyson had reportedly expired.
Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels is a rerelease of the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2, which had also already been included in Super Mario All-Stars.
Star Soldier is a shoot 'em up developed by Hudson Soft in which the player travels through space stations to defeat supercomputers.
All three games are notoriously difficult and will undoubtedly benefit from the Nintendo Switch Online save system, which allows games to be saved in the middle of a play session.
With the announced titles, the service will have 38 games, with more expected in the future.
