This Wednesday (4), Nintendo presented another Nintendo Direct, showing updates on games scheduled for release in 2019 and 2020.

The presentation lasted 40 minutes and featured the following highlights:

Overwatch for Nintendo Switch

Right away, the Nintendo Direct began with an announcement that many people had already predicted. Overwatch, already available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, will arrive on Switch this October in its Legendary edition.

Because it is on Switch, the game will also feature motion controls.

SNES Games on Nintendo Switch Online

Approximately one year after its launch, Nintendo Switch Online will gain a library of SNES games that will be expanded just like the NES game library.

The games will feature the same functions as the NES titles, including online multiplayer, save states, and a rewind function. The initial library will contain 20 games.

  • Character customization, an already expected feature
  • Pokémon Camp, a new game mode where players can camp and interact with their Pokémon

Terry Bogard and More Characters in Smash Bros.

Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury was confirmed as the fourth character in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass. The announcement was not a major surprise, since Nintendo itself had made a small leak related to a fighter from SNK in an official document.

Immediately after the announcement, it was revealed that the game would receive more DLC characters beyond the five in the Fighters Pass. Their number and release dates are not known.

It was also announced that the duo Banjo & Kazooie would be released after the Nintendo Direct. Following the presentation, a segment was devoted to designer Masahiro Sakurai demonstrating the character's moveset and the new features arriving alongside it.

Those additions include new Mii Costumes, including Sans from Undertale, which will come with a remix of "Megalovania" composed by Toby Fox himself.
