It seems that Persona 5 is already a big success for Atlus and its owner, SEGA, which bought it in 2013. Now that the game has arrived in America and Europe, Atlus published an update and said that the game sold more than 1.5 million copies. In October, Atlus announced that it had sold 550,000 copies in Japan alone.

Atlus also said that it will continue to promote the Persona series beyond the games, including a recently announced concert that will take place in Japan on August 2. But seeing that Persona is proving to be a smashing success for Atlus, do not be surprised if we see spin-off games, anime and things like that in the future. Every fan of the series is loving the franchise's new title, and they are not at all surprised by the game's success.
