SEGA announced that Project Sakura Wars will launch on December 12 in Japan for PlayStation 4. The game had previously been announced for a 2020 western release. The first copies of Project Sakura Wars in Japan will include a PS4 theme featuring game artwork and its theme song. A limited deluxe edition will also be available, including a collection of art and songs from the series: a soundtrack CD with more than 60 songs from the series' six titles and a 72-page A4 art book with illustrations from the series. A digital deluxe edition includes the same content as data.
