Many New Stories Appear! Kansai's No. 1 Entertainment District: Sotenbori, Osaka
As Kansai's largest entertainment district, Sotenbori is one of Osaka's representative restaurant districts, where people spend far too much money on food. Depending on the store, theme songs play amid considerable bustle. Sotenbori is filled with famous restaurants known to everyone, including Kani Douraku and Zuboraya. It is an energetic district where the flow of tourists never ends, even late at night.
New Tie-In Stores Also Appear!
Many tie-in stores such as Kani Douraku, Kinryu Ramen, Kushikatsu Daruma, and Osaka Osho, which became symbols of earlier titles in the Yakuza series, will appear again in Yakuza Kiwami 2. In addition, new tie-in stores such as Takoyaki-Ten Kukuru, Gyu-Kaku, Tsuruha Drug, and others will appear.
Updated Entertainment Spots
— Yokobori Golf Center
An updated Yokobori Golf Center is open in Sotenbori. Here, you can play a "closest-to-the-pin challenge" where you compete to land nearest the pin, and a "bingo challenge" where you shoot at a 3x3 target to make bingo.
—Four Shine
The two-story building in Shofukucho houses the Four Shine cabaret club, where the "New Nightlife Island" is located. At first, the cabaret club has only a few customers, but Kiryu will become the manager to help the business and raise it into Japan's No. 1 cabaret club.
Sotenbori Substories
— Kiryu's Debut as a Model?
While walking across Iwao Bridge, Kiryu is spotted by a man who asks him, "Why not try being a model?" It seems the model who was supposed to be photographed has disappeared, and he is looking for someone to take his place. He strongly suggests that Kiryu is the perfect match for that model's image, and Kiryu accepts the job. At the photo location, art director "Poison Mitsuo" is waiting for him. It seems he organizes unconventional photo shoots to capture true human instinct and nature. Kiryu learns this but still accompanies the man to the photo shoot. However...
Kiryu responds to the prompts Poison Mitsuo gives him with various poses. Will Kiryu's poses really be able to make the art director's soul tremble?
Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 7.
