Previously announced and released in Japan, but still without a date set for the West, SEGA confirmed that Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Gain Ground will be released in the West through the Nintendo eShop for Switch on March 28.

According to our previous news (2), each game offers several new features exclusive to the Switch version:

Alex Kidd in Miracle World:

In addition to “Original Mode,” which works like the original game, there is the inclusion of “AGES Mode,” which contains the following new features:

  • Support for FM music, which did not exist in the original version
  • New illustrations before each stage
  • Simplified “Continue” feature
  • You can rewind the game by 5 seconds to undo your mistakes
  • Leaderboards and challenge mode

Gain Ground:

Based on the arcade version, the Switch version includes:

  • “All-Member” Mode, which unlocks all 20 characters
  • Easy Mode
  • First perfect port of the arcade version in its original resolution
