Since the new series featuring Marvel characters were announced for Disney's new streaming service, Disney+, many fans have wondered whether anything would connect the series to the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The older Netflix series, such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and The Defenders, make it clear that the films are canonical to the series, but the series were not canonical to the films.
Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, said the following in an interview with ComicBook.com about the connection between the new Disney+ series and the films for theaters: “They will be Marvel Studios productions. They will be fully intertwined with the current MCU, the past MCU, and the future of the MCU.”

Many fans had already speculated about this possibility because, unlike the Netflix series, which aimed only to introduce new characters, the new Disney+ series will focus on expanding and developing characters already established in theaters. Three series have already been confirmed to be in production. One will be about Loki, Thor's adoptive brother, with confirmation that Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role.
The Loki series will star him as he travels through human history and causes or influences certain events. The other confirmed series are one starring Vision and Scarlet Witch, with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany returning to their film roles, and another starring the Winter Soldier and Falcon, with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprising their roles once again.
Few details are known about the new series, but Kevin Feige confirmed that information will begin to arrive after the release of Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. We may receive more information during San Diego Comic-Con.
