Sonic Mania Adventures was an absolute success for SEGA, with the video bringing all the episodes together reaching more than 10 million views. The shorts pleased both fans and critics. Now, SEGA was ready for a new animated adventure starring the blue blur.
The producer of Sonic Mania Adventures revealed on Instagram that the team was working hard on a new Sonic animated series. It would star Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as they set off on new adventures.
It did not yet have a premiere date, but fans of the blue hedgehog certainly would not want to miss it. Stay tuned to Epic Play for any news.
UPDATE 09/14 8:08 p.m.: Apparently, the information that a new Sonic cartoon was in production was revealed too early, since the original post was edited and removed the information that a new hedgehog animation was being produced. Aaron Webber later said that there was "officially" no news about this cartoon being developed.
It is worth remembering that a similar situation occurred during the Team Sonic Racing rumors, when Aaron claimed that there was no racing game being made. At the moment, the situation regarding the cartoon is ambiguous, and fans will have to wait and see whether it comes to fruition.
