Netflix recently confirmed that the second season of its original horror series, The Haunting of Hill House, will arrive in 2020. Interestingly, these upcoming episodes will not be a direct continuation of the first season, with a new story and other protagonists.
This information came through a tweet published by Netflix on February 21, 2019. Strangely, the end of the second season's subtitle cannot be seen, leaving a mystery. However, we already know that its English name will be The Haunting of Bly Manor. Below is the short announcement trailer.
Everything indicates that the second season will be inspired by a book called The Turn of the Screw, written by Henry James in 1898, which has already served as the source for several films, such as The Innocents from 1961 and The Others, the 2001 film starring Nicole Kidman.
In the original work, the conflicts involve two siblings who suffer from supernatural events that intensify after the arrival of a new governess.
Another new development is that Netflix revealed it had made an exclusive agreement with the creators of The Haunting of Hill House, Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy, to create new original horror works.
Remember that all 10 episodes of the first season are available on Netflix.
